I definately didn’t like this episode (as well as Part 2).

1) Just like in the IV: The Voyage Home, it way overty re-enforces the stereotypes about what people looked like from 1996. Even in California, they don’t all dress like clowns and punks.

2) I absolutely can’t stand how Star trek has got to YET AGAIN create another plot hole. There is no mention of the Eugenics Wars. What’s worse, this episode makes outrageous claims about how the computer age was created entirely by a corrupt corporation which had stolen 29th century technology. GIVE ME A BREAK! So what happened to Microsoft or Bill Gates??? If the United States had been pumping out 29th century tech since the 1960s, then the Cold War would have been over long before 1991. I highly doubt the USSR could have kept up if America had that kind of an edge.
